QI Project to determine the incidence of hyperoxia on a mixed general intensive care unit, monitoring and improvement using an automated strategy. Completed QI project, superceeded by research role as principle investigator for the UKROX trial locally.

Nociceptin in sepsis

Laboratory based project to investigate the role of nociceptin in sepsis, comparing its release in healthy volunteers and critically ill patients with sepsis. Completed PhD project, leading to a number of publications and experience in confocal microscopy, bioassay development and image processing
